History of a Beastmaster
Yunso was born of mixed heritage to a Dalmascan carpenter and Doman barmaid, where she grew up in a lower middle-class home in Eastern Rabanastre. Though with her parents being so busy working, she spent much of her homelife with her grandfather. It was here that she learned much of her Doman background and practiced the craft of leatherworking. In her youth she fancied herself dreams of becoming a daring skypirate who was queen of the skies above Dalmasca. Though that dream never came to fruition, she did cause a plethora of trouble around the city committing petty crimes with her friends in her teenage years, especially towards the soon to be occupying Garleans.However all good things must come to an end, upon the dawn of her eighth summer, the Garlean IVth Legion swept across Dalmasca. As the capital became flooded with Garlean occupying forces, the city streets grew cold with fear. Yunso’s stress during these times grew ever more as her thirteenth summer came and her grandfather had passed. With her closest family member gone, she ran from home for days at a time. During her escapades away she’d be exploring the Dalmascan Esterdands and staying within some of the nomadic villages of the desert. On many of her visits she would stumble across a Viera man, a beastmaster and hunter by trade. The two of them grew to become friends, and ultimately her mentor once her eighteenth summer had passed. It was on an expedition together that they came upon a lone falcon egg beset by scavengers. The two of them scared them off and as a true trial for Yunso, she was to raise the falcon once it hatched. This bird became her lifelong companion, Taka.Back in Rabanastre, Yunso had committed a bold crime to an Imperial soldier her family was acquainted with. This led to her quickly fleeing the city and ultimately into hiding amongst the nomadic villagers. Here she finally had the time to excel at her beast taming and battleaxe combat under her mentor’s tutelage. Finally after the rebellions all around Dalmasca picked up, the duo were forced out of the village for fear of the imperials stomping their village under suspicion. Now out on their own, Yunso and her companion traveled the lands far and wide together. Yet as the years passed their paths would lead apart as Yunso sought to fight with her countrymen in liberating Bozja.Having fought tooth and nail to free another man’s homeland, she was sick and tired of war. It was time for a change, under the suggestion of some of the few Eorzean warriors she fought with on the battlefield, her path now leads west into Eorzea. One can only wonder what adventures await Yunso and her avian companion.
Taka: Faithful companion of who Yunso has raised since she was in an egg. She is a massive Doman Falcon, also known as Lanners in Eorzea, that is as swift as any bird of prey even a tenth her size.

*Ise Takeda: Yunso’s mother who hails from a family dynasty of renowned armor crafters. First daughter of Nakatomi Takeda who fled west from her homeland of Doma to avoid an arranged marriage. Her travels led her to settle in Rabanastre where she met her future husband, Lysander.
*Lysander Amala: A Dalmascan native who grew up poor in Lowtown, Rabanastre. Lived the life of a laborer in construction before ultimately becoming a carpenter’s apprentice in his later years. During his time in construction he met Ise in a tavern, where the two of them fell into a swift romance. Within a year they expected their first and only child and moved into a better household in eastern Rabanastre.
*Nakatomi Takeda: A traditional doman grandfather and one of the most well regarded leatherworker and armorer in the land. Once the Garlean occupation came he had fled the lands after losing his wife. Having arrived in Rabanastre he moved in with his first daughter in the last years of his life, where he took care of his granddaughter.
Liri: A viera man outcast from his tribe for his radical views of individualism, contrary to his tribe’s strong collectivism and gendered roles. A trained beastmaster who faked his death and left the jungles to pursue a life on his own. Roaming Othard and Dalmasca he eventually picked up Yunso as a traveling companion.
Yvetta: A fellow traveler and treasure hunter, she and Yunso hit it off almost immediately. They met in the midst of a life or death situation and now the two share a deep bond for one another. Though she is still sorting her feelings, she knows for a fact that she loves her. She hopes everyday that she doesn't royally screw things up.
Vasant Irithyll: A quiet, gruff man who inadvertently charmed his way into her heart. He's got an air of mystery about him from all the walls he's built up. She worries that she's a bit too much for him at times, but sometimes it's good to have someone to humble you. One day she hopes to make it past those walls and stand by him hand in hand.
Maria Irithyll: Quite the wild woman, she and Maria met purely by chance. Though she is Vasant's younger sibling, the two became, at least she hopes, good friends. And though they don't share a common language, the two of them have found ways to communicate with one another. She can't wait for the days the two of them can explore the wilds together again.
